A police investigation has been launched as police release images of the cyclist killed at a roundabout in Greenwich.

The early morning rush hour crash on May 18 just before 8.30am resulted in the death of Edgaras Cepura.

The 37-year-old from Greenwich was hit by a lorry and pronounced dead at the scene.

His wife identified him five days after the collision at the busy junction of the A206 and A102 in Woolwich, where the Blackwall Tunnel approach and Woolwich Road meet.

Met Police and London Ambulance attended the scene and officers have launched an official investigation.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Mr Cepura was a software engineer, originally from Lithuania, and married to Jorgita Cepurae, an office manager, who identified his body at Greenwich Public Mortuary.

Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision, but has not yet contacted police, to call the SCIU on 020 8285 1574.

No arrests have been made.
