The new Ikea store in Greenwich will see 450 job opportunities, perks and the chance to grow with the company.

The controversial new Ikea is set to take the place of Sainsbury’s in Bugsbys Way, and should at the begin of next year. 

Ikea Greenwich is dedicated to recruiting local people and therefore has partnered with local organisations to support this.

They are currently working with Greenwich Local Labour and Business to attract talent from the area.

Ikea Greenwich is advertising roles on the IKEA website and jobs site Indeed, where candidates can apply for roles.

They are currently focusing on recruiting team leaders, specialist roles and co-workers and hope to have the complete team by the end of 2018.

Ikea is also partners with Breaking Barriers, a charity that supports refugees into work.

Workers at Ikea will get one weekend off in four for all customer-facing roles, along with up-to-date contracts that reflect the hours worked.

Ikea is also very proud to pay the real Living Wage to all co-workers, which is £8.75 in the UK and £10.20 in London, you will also get the opportunity to take Shared Parental Leave.
