Dozens of police vehicles have been spotted outside Morrisons in Erith.
A video online shows part of the car park cordoned off.
Footage also shows emergency vehicles scattered around the car park.
The Metropolitan Police said they believe it was a "pre-planned operation".
It is not yet clear what the operation was.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency are believed to be involved with the incident.
Bexley Police have been contacted for more information.
