Brits up and down the country celebrated the royal wedding with picnics, bubbly and all kinds of festivities at the weekend, and Bexleyheath residents were no exception.

Neighbours in Russell Close got into the royal spirit with Union Jack flags and nibbles - while celebrating the 62nd anniversary of their own 'royal couple'.

Eddie and Joyce, who also enjoyed the festivities, were presented with a bunch of flowers and a cake to celebrate their marriage milestone.

While the adults watched the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex unite, 50 children were invited to join the party.

As well as a huge kids' table filled with goodies, a bouncy castle, hook-a-duck games and face painting was on offer for them to get involved.

Lucy Edwards, who helped to organise the party, said: "A brilliant day was had by everyone", and added the weather was "amazing" for the occasion.
