A man in his 80s had a lucky escape after crashing into a shop in Eltham High Street at the weekend.
Photos shared with News Shopper show a smashed shop front on the High Street as a result of the crash, with cordons in place and emergency services at the scene.
The front that has been damaged - next to a sign that reads 'parking' - is believed to be a motorcycle shop.
The man involved in the crash is not thought to be injured, despite an ambulance having been called to the scene which reportedly stayed for over an hour.
A spokeswoman from Met Police said: "Police were called at 17:18hrs on Sunday, 20 May to reports of a road traffic collision in Eltham High Street, SE9, near the junction with Footscray Road.
"Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a car in collision with a shop.
"The driver, aged in his 80s, stopped at the scene.
"No injuries were reported. No arrests have been made."
