The fridge behind the Grenfell Tower tragedy will not be recalled, according to officials.
An independent review assessed that the Hotpoint FF175B model posed a "low risk" and did not need modifications.
The Grenfell Tower tragedy took 71 people's lives due to a fire started by a fridge, but the rapid growth of the fire was caused by inadequate external cladding.
The independent experts, commissioned by the Department for Business, said "the product met legal safety requirements and that the risk associated with the model is assessed as low".
This was backed up by the government's chief scientific adviser, John Loughhead describing the investigation as “robust”.
Whirlpool, which owns the rights to Hotpoint appliances in Europe, wants customers to feel reassured, and are therefore advising people to carry on using the model as usual.
But, if customers are still unsure with the safety of their product then they should contact the manufacturers.
