Commuters in London are getting to grips with new train times today as a timetable overhaul comes into effect.
The changes to Southern, Thameslink and Southeastern train services in the capital came into effect yesterday (Sunday), but the new schedule undergoes its first real test today in Monday morning rush hour.
According to operators, services are running fairly smoothly this rush hour but there are a few disruptions.
Some passengers have complained of a severe lack of services at certain stations, with delays and cancellations steadily building throughout rush hour.
@TLRailUK #thameslink @acinderellaline no train from Catford between 7.25 & 8.25. can you explain how will people be able to board the 8.25 at Catford. Disgraceful pic.twitter.com/PzDlMvYPMY

This is so awful. You’ve removed all the ‘fast’ services from Bromley South to Victoria between 7.13 and 7.45. Everything now stops en route. How is this even possible?

The system overhaul is part of a wider plan to offer more train services to accommodate more passengers, but some people have suffered as a result of the changes.
Train operators, owned by Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) will see a total of about 400 extra services on the network.
But as a result of a new timetable, some passengers have found their usual train no longer services their station - which means they have longer commutes to and from work.
Some people have been airing their concerns on Twitter today as the changes come into effect.
A good service, really! Having my commute time increase by 50% is not a good service. This sucks! #longfieldtovictoria
