New boats destined for the Woolwich Ferry have been launched in Polish water.
The two new boats are replacing the current fleet of three to "make the service more reliable and comfortable for customers".
Transport for London say the new boats will be installed in Woolwich and north Woolwich piers in October 2018.
The fuel efficient boats can hold 150 passengers and 40 vehicles, designed to improve reliability and reduce noise.
Ben Woollacott is the name of one of the boats, inspired by a deckhand who died working on the ferry.
The name of the other boat - Dame Vera Lynn - is in tribute of the east London singer.
Remontowa, a shipping yard in Polish city Gdańsk, is the site where the boats are being built.
The Woolwich ferry service will be suspended temporarily this Autumn to construct new berths.
TfL say the new service will support Mayor Sadiq Khan's goal for cleaner air.
