A police helicopter was drafted in to help find a woman in Swanscombe after concerns for her welfare were raised.
Officers managed to locate the woman, who had disappeared and could not be contacted.
Swanscombe residents noticed a police presence in the area and a helicopter overhead in yesterday afternoon (May 15) and asked what was happening on Facebook.
One woman asked: "What or who is the helicopter looking for?"
Another noticed police officers in Lewis Road throughout the afternoon.
A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed: "At 4.03pm on Tuesday 15 May Kent Police received concerns for the welfare of a woman, from the Swanscombe area, who could not be contacted.
"Officers attended the area and conducted a search, with the support of the National Police Air Service.
"The woman was safely located and handed into the care of health professionals."
