Beer lovers in Swanley will be able to sample craft beers every weekend after a local brewery announced it will open to the public.

Brew Buddies, which brews a mixture of different beers, has previously only worked with traders rather than supplying directly to the public.

Simon Tippett, who opened the brewery in 2015 and now runs it with his wife Rebecca, told News Shopper they have decided to expand and open their doors to customers from their Swanley site.

The brewery will open across the first bank holiday weekend in May, from May 5 to May 7. From then on, customers will be able to buy beers on site every weekend.

Mr Tippett said customers will be able to purchase craft beers, as well as ciders, fine wines and artisan spirits in the brewery's tap room.

He added: “People can have a look around if they want to learn more about the brewery.”

As well as drinks for sale on site, customers will be able to purchase beers to take home with them.

Mr Tippett hopes the weather will hold out for the opening weekend, as there is an outside space available for people to sit and enjoy drinks.

Although the details of future opening times have not yet been decided, customers will be able to visit the brewery from 12pm-10pm on Saturday, May 5 and 2pm-6 pm on Sunday, May 6 and Monday, May 7.
