A new documentary detailing what goes into catching the Croydon Cat Killer is set to air next month.

The Vice film follows the work of South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty's (SNARL) two members, Tony Jenkins and his partner Boudicca Rising, as it hopes to "lift the lid" on the feline mutilations.

A statement put out by the media company said the film would show the SNARL pair "tracing murder routes, collecting deceased cat bodies as evidence - often storing them in their fridge - and providing support to families who have lost a loved one."

"The pair have unearthed a shocking history of animal murders that have lead to a nationwide hunt for what is thought to be the UK’s first serial animal killer."

The killer is now responsible or more 350 deaths as far afield as Manchester, Brighton and the Isle of Wight.

The killer is believed to have first struck in South Norwood, and operates in south London regularly. He reportedly strikes in built-up residential areas, mainly during the night time.

Calling cards of the killer include cutting off heads, paws and tails as well as leaving victims sliced open. He has been known to then display the bodies close to where he has hunted them down.

'To catch a cat killer', as it has been titled will first air on May 8 at 9pm on Vice.
