Here is your guide to the best parks in SE London and north Kent.

Greenwich Park

Perfect for panoramic views of London, visit Greenwich Park this weekend and lounge around in the lovely sun. Bring the kids and a picnic and enjoy the weather while you can. Crystal Palace Park

There is lot to admire at Crystal Palace Park especially in the sunshine. Enjoy an afternoon relaxing or wondering among the flowers. Did you know...The Crystal Palace and Park were built by Sir Joseph Paxton’s Crystal Palace Company between 1852 and 1854. The site was designed to impress, educate, entertain and inspire, eventually becoming an international attraction.

Hilly Fields

Located in Brockley, this is a great place to take the whole family. There is even a play park for the kids. There are amazing views of the London skyline and lots of space to spread yourselves out in the sunshine. Did you know...The summit of Hilly Fields stands 175 feet above sea level.

Beckenham Place Park

There is so much to do in Beckenham Place Park and it is definitely one to spend all day exploring. This is Lewisham’s largest green space with 237 acres of land. There are ball courts, football pitches and a sensory garden. Did you know...Beckenham Place Park is considered one of the finest wildlife sites in the borough.

Kelsey Park

This park was opened more than 100 years ago in Beckenham and today has a crazy golf course, a cafe and tennis courts so there is something for everyone. Did you know...The Friends of Kelsey Park create a calendar every year filled with wonderful photos of the wildlife and changing seasons of the park.

Danson Park

This is located between Welling and Bexleyheath. There are three gardens open to the public and a Peace garden. Did you know...Until 2013 the park played host to the Danson Festival, an annual large-scale two-day event run by Bexley Council, which attracted up to 60,000 visitors to the park. It was stopped due to it destroying the ground.

Central Park

Located in Dartford, Central Park has something for everyone. There are formal gardens, the war memorial, and each summer 45,000 plants are used to create displays. For the kids there is a large play park, climbing wall and football pitches. Did you know...Central Park hosts numerous events, particularly in summer, including the popular Dartford Festival in July.
