A young rapper thought to be from Thamesmead has gone missing after leaving a recording studio in Brazil.

Kenny Mukendi, also known as Kenny Vulcan, has been missing since last Friday (April 13) and his social media accounts have mysteriously been deleted.

The 20-year-old blue-haired black albino was born in Paris and moved to the UK at the age of seven. He has appeared in music videos with Nicki Minaj, Lily Allen and James Blunt, as well as appearing in movies Ready Player One and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

He had been in Brazil since December studying music until he disappeared.

His girlfriend Renata Lima has appealed for help finding him after he left her house in Tijuca, northern Rio, on Thursday and then hasn't been heard from him since around 1pm the next day.

Speaking to Brazilian media, Renata explained how the last message she received from him was shortly before 1pm on Friday before his social media profiles apart from Twitter were deleted.

She also said that Kenny speaks very little Portuguese and all his belongings are in her house, including clothes and chargers.

The phone’s last location was later tracked to Botafogo, 15 miles away from the studio he had spent the night recording in, and not on the route back home.

Brazilian police have put out missing person notices for Kenny while family and friends are appealing on social media for people to find him.
