Staff at the Princess Royal University endured a scary situation when a man with a blade was spotted running through the car park.
The hospital in Farnborough Common said nobody was hurt after the incident this morning (April 12) shortly before 1.30am.
Bromley Police officers rushed to the scene to tackle the blade-wielding man. The 43-year-old remains in police custody.

A spokesperson from King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the Princess Royal University Hospital, said: "Thankfully, none of our staff, patients or visitors were hurt. We are very grateful to the local police for their swift assistance."
One paediatric nurse tweeted her gratitude to police for quickly arriving to deal with the situation.

A police spokeswoman added: "The man was red-dotted by the Taser but it was not discharged. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
"The object was found to be an edged gardening tool."
Before being taken to a police station - the man was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police say enquires are ongoing.
