A traffic collision in St Marys Cray partially closed a road on Saturday night while passengers were brought to safety.

The crash happened just before 21.00 on Cray Avenue. Police, London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade attended the scene.

A spokeswoman from the Met Police said: “Police were called to Cray Avenue, Bexley at 2051hrs on Saturday, 7 April to reports of a road traffic collision involving a Mini and an Audi.

“The drivers of both vehicles stopped at the scene.

“Police and LAS attended.

“No persons required hospital treatment.

“Cordons were in place while vehicles were removed from the highway.”

She added that London Fire Brigade was called after “substantial damage” was initially reported.

Police also confirmed the carriageway was blocked until the wreckage was finally cleared at 23.23.

Both London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade have been contacted for comment.
