The family of a man who died in a collision in Darenth in January have paid tribute to the bystanders who tried to save him.

This comes as Kent Police has reissued an appeal for witnesses to the incident on Monday, January 22 shortly before 5.15 pm.

Paul Pratt, 69, from Dartford, was knocked off his Honda motorcycle at Green Street Green Road, Lane End after a crash with a white Volkswagen Polo which was travelling in the same direction.

He was then involved in a second collision with a blue Ford Fiesta which was travelling in the opposite direction, towards Dartford. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Pratt’s family said: “To everyone involved in helping to save my Husband/Dad/Grandad Paul Pratt at the accident scene on Green Street Green Road.

“We appreciate everything all involved did to help try to save his life and would like to thank you all.

“From what we have been told you all did your very best and more to try and save him.

“We’re sure this is also a very difficult time for you all as it is for us and hope in time the pain will heal.”

Kent Police has asked anyone with information or dash cam footage to come forward if they have not done so already.
