Kent Police has appealed for witnesses after a secure van driver was robbed in Dartford town centre on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred just before 3.30pm, when a driver carrying a money box was approached outside Aldi supermarket near the Orchards Shopping Centre by two men who threatened him with a screwdriver.

The men forced him to hand over the money box and fled the scene in a dark 4x4 car which was being driven by another man.

The two suspects are described as wearing black face masks. One wore black or blue trousers, black trainers and a beige jacket with a fur-lined hood. He was approximately 5ft 8in tall and was of medium to heavy build.

The second man wore a blue hooded top with blue trousers and blue trainers.

The driver of the car is described as wearing a black puffer jacket with a black hat and white gloves.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
