An old tennis club in Blackheath could be demolished and concreted over in place of a bowls club.
Blackheath and Greenwich Bowling Club want to relocate to the edge of Blackheath Park on the site of the old tennis club.
If the plans get the greenlight, a new bowling green and a club house will be built and the derelict sports fields will be reopened.
The bowling club said: "In summary, the club facilities are now in desperate need of modernization, in order to provide a long-term future for the bowling club."
The site shares boundaries with Thomas Tallis School playing fields, Blackheath Park, to the north, and the Paddock Close housing estate to the west.
It is currently made up of four disused tennis courts and an abandoned clubhouse - the tennis club has been closed since 2002.
The current bowling club is not wheelchair accessible - something that is hoped to be rectified by relocating to the old tennis courts.
The plans include demolishing the existing structure and building a forecourt and car park, a new clubhouse and bowling green.
