A vibrant new social venue featuring a weekly market offering produce from some of south London’s finest traders is coming to Deptford.

Deptford is quietly rising to great heights for foodies everywhere and ‘Deptford Bites’ is the newest addition to Deptford Market Yard launching April 7.

The site will be curated by London food event and market organisers Eat Me Drink Me, who want to spread the love of local markets making them free for everyone to attend.

There will also be live music every week, as well as talks and debates, which will inspire and educate as you browse the finest in local produce and crafts.

In particular, April’s launch will feature talks and debates curated by The Guardian’s food critic Grace Dent, who is also hosting the opening of the market, and the events are all free so you can just turn up.

The talks will be covering subjects such as the changing face of Deptford and the rise of veganism, featuring stars such as Jay Brave, Zoe Adjonyoh and Deptford Esquire’s Saima Arshad.
