Police were called to the office of Erith and Thamesmead MP Teresa Pearce after a "suspicious package" was delivered.
The Labour office in Bexley Road, Erith, received the parcel late Wednesday morning.
Police attended the scene and closed off the front of the building for a few hours before declaring the package safe.
A spokesman from the Met Police said: “Police were called at 11:04hrs on Wednesday, 14 March to reports of a suspicious package delivered to an address in Bexley Road, Erith.
“Specialist officers attended the scene.
“The package was assessed and deemed to be non-suspicious.
“There were no reports of any illness or injuries.”
Ms Pearce’s office has been contacted for comment.
