A hospital in Bromley has warned people only to come to A&E if absolutely necessary.
The Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) in Farnborough Common say patients are enduring longer waits than usual.
A spokesman for PRUH said: "We are experiencing extremely high patient numbers in the Emergency Department at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH). As always, we will prioritise the most unwell patients.
"However, those in less urgent need of care may experience significantly longer waiting times than normal.
"Please help us manage demand for emergency care by using the service wisely. Where appropriate, please consider other healthcare alternatives to A&E such as visiting your pharmacist or GP, calling NHS 111 or using NHS Choices."
