Hungry shoppers in Catford will be able to visit a new food market coming to the town centre later this month.

Kicking off on March 25, a number of south east London food businesses will set up in the town and sell street food from their stalls and raise their profiles.

The Catford Food Market will start at 10am and last until 4pm, then will return on the last Sunday of each month.

International flavours on offer include the Carribean food from Jerk Off BBQ, Indian delights from Raastawala, Japanese delicacies from Fuse Love and Italian inspired sourdough pizza from Van Dough.

There will also be cakes from Brett & Bailey and Miss Flits Vegan Bakes, and bread and pastries from Claude’s Boulangerie.

Emanuela Mansi of Pastificio Mansi, who will be offering hand crafted pasta, said: ‘I’m really looking forward to trading in Catford again.

“I launched my business at the previous monthly market in 2012 after completing a Council run training course on how to start a street food business and my business has gone from strength to strength.”

Catford Town Centre is undergoing a major regeneration from Lewisham Council that will cost an estimated £750 million.
