Two men have died and four other people have been hospitalised after a crash on the A2 outside Bean.

Kent Police were called shortly before 11pm on Satuday, March 10, to the London-bound carriageway close to the junction for Bean.

A black Volkswagen Polo had collided with a white Volkswagen Golf.

Kent Police said they believe the Golf had broken down in a live lane and was stationary when the crash occurred.

Police, ambulance and fire crews all attended but one man in his 20s and another man in his 30s were declared dead at the scene.

Both men were from the Gravesend area and their next of kin have been informed.

Four other people were injured and taken to hospital, but none of their injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and asking anyone who saw what happened to call them, especially if you have dash cam footage of the Golf before the crash.
