A man has "serious stab injuries" following an assault in Beckenham.
According to police, a fight involving around seven people broke out in the High Street yesterday (March 10).
Police had been called at about 7.05pm but couldn’t find any trace of victims or suspects, although they recovered a knife.
They were later called again at 7.40pm to a south London hospital where a 23-year-old man had been admitted.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
A spokesman from the Met Police said: “A 23-year-old man self-presented at a south London hospital suffering from serious stab injuries.
“He remains in a stable condition; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
Detectives from the Trident and area crime command are investigating.
