Two men have been arrested following a firearms incident in Penge.

Police were called to Franklin Road on Saturday, March 3, at about 12.20am to a report of shots fired.

Armed and local officers attended.

A spokeswoman for the Met Police said: “No one was reported to be injured.

“Two men, aged 19 and 24, were stopped in a vehicle a short time later by armed officers.

“They were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and taken into custody at a south London police station.

“No firearms were recovered.”
