After a turbulent day Southeastern are warning commuters not to travel unless it is 'critical.' 

uption earlier this afternoon, with the franchise advising passengers to not travel at all.

It it's latest note to passengers, Southeastern said: "If you are home and plan to travel this evening, please POSTPONE your journey.

"If you are somewhere safe & warm please remain there and seek alternate arrangements. Travel if only absolutely critical."

However, some lines are currently operating a reduced timetable - and many buses are accpeting rail tickets. 

Trains are operating on the Bexleyheath line to Dartford only, and on the Woolwich line to Dartford only.

The Hayes line is also running, and Victoria to Bromley South and Charing Cross to Orpington.

Passengers are being advised to travel as soon as possible before any further complications arise.

All routes are currently facing delays and cancellations, but these lines are at least open.

A spokesman said: "We're not issuing the "DO NOT TRAVEL" advice on some routes lightly, conditions are pretty bad out there at the moment with frozen conductor third rails.

"There are some delays and cancellations."
