The nation has been gripped by the beast from the east, which was met today by Storm Emma coming up through the south.
Forecasters are predicting yet more snow for tomorrown and into the weekend, with Storm Emma bringing bitter winds and blizzard conidtions for much of the south.
The Met office contonues to have weather warnings in place, and several roads across the south london are clogged up as snowfall continues to cause disruption for travellers.
Hundreds of schools were forced to close today because of snow and ice, with many expected to remain closed tomorrow.
An amber warning has been put on London and the south east - the second highest warning the Met give - and more snow flurries has been predicted
Forecasters have said there will be gusts of up to 60mph hour - and many train operators are preparing to run a reduced timetable tomorrow.
Snow is expected in the early hours in the south east, and it will be well below freezing.
Further snow showers are expected in London throughout Friday morning, and it will be very very icy as well.
