A 'fearful' victim threw his wallet and ran from a gang of tracksuit-wearing masked robbers in Northfleet.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the victim, a 20-year-old man, was allegedly targeted in the recreation ground in Beresford Road on Saturday, February 17.

At about 2.30pm a group of four approached the victim and demanded money.

Police said one of the robbers raised his fists at the victim.

A spokesman said: "Due to being fearful the victim threw his wallet at the group before he ran in the direction of Burnaby Road and London Road."

All four suspects are described as white, with tanned skin, slim builds and between 5ft 2ins and 5ft 6ins.

The first suspect is described as a man wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a navy blue ‘Nike’ zipped jacket with the hood worn up.

The second suspect is described as a man wearing a black ‘Adidas’ tracksuit with the hood pulled up while the third person, was reported as wearing a grey tracksuit with the hood pulled up. It is unknown if this was a man or a woman.

A fourth person was described as wearing a blue ‘Nike’ tracksuit with the hood up.

All four people were reported to be wearing masks over their faces.
