This school in Bromley won't allow students to buy lunch unless they are wearing their blazers.

One parent said it was an "abuse of authority" but the school argued that it encouraged students to wear the correct uniform.
 

- Harris Academy Beckenham student 'secluded for extreme haircut'

News Shopper: Cane Brooks has been excluded from school because of his 'extreme' hair cut

One mum expressed outrage after her son was allegedly secluded from classes because of his "extreme" haircut.

The mum of the Year 10 teenager said the extremity of his son's haircut was subjective.

She said: “He does not want to get his hair cut. He’s come home and said, ‘mum please don’t make me cut my hair.’

“I’m not going to because it hasn’t been a problem for the last two years and I don’t know why it is one now.”

The school said they were working with the parent and student to find a solution.

- Pupils banned from lessons and police called after leavers at Blackfen School for Girls in Sidcup adapt uniform on last day

Did your last day of term ever result in the police being called?

Year 11 girl's from a school in Sidcup were told to go home after turning up on the last day of term with 'sequins on their collars and bows on their socks'.

To make matters worse - police were called after traffic was halted by students gathered outside the school.

Students and parents reacted with rage to this particular rule which was applied on the last day of school.

Blackfen School for Girls had warned the students that incorrect uniform would not be tolerated.
 

Leesons Primary School bans parents from walking kids to class

One parent claims she was told she was "trespassing" when she tried to walk her four-year-old son to his class at a primary school in Orpington.

Ms Jenkins says the head teacher told her she needed to be DBS checked to permit her to enter the school.

Leesons Primary School said teachers would help guide children across a playground to their classrooms.
 

- Catford parents angry at Forster Park Primary School rule restricting goodbyes to children to the school gate

A similar situation erupted in a Lewisham primary school when a letter was sent to parents banning them from saying goodbye to their children from inside the school gates.

One parents said children were "hysterical" when the rule was implemented.

The head teacher explained that the rule was for health and safety reasons.
 

- Children 'banned from running in playground' of Gravesend primary school

News Shopper:

An angry mum claimed her son and his friends were "banned" from running in the playground at their primary school in Kent.

She said: "I don't want to run the school down but I think it is a step too far."

The school said they asked children to stop playing a "particular chasing game" for safety reasons and that pupils could "run and play more safely" when the weather gets dry.
 

- Greenwich pupil 'kicked out of class' after refusing to take off charity wristband

News Shopper:

A lively debate was inspired in 2015 when a 15-year-old claimed he was suspended from his Greenwich school for refusing to take off a 'Lest We Forget' wristband.

He step-father called it a "ridiculous" decision for the school to take.

However, Harris Academy Greenwich said the exclusion was not related to the jewellery, but wouldn't disclose what the punishment was for.
