Dartford Crossing closed after Second World War bomb found

    Essex Polce was called at about 8.55am to an unexploded WW2 bomb that had been found in an industrial estate in Grays.
  • - The Dartford Crossing was closed for a short period but has since reopened.
  • - There is still traffic in the surrounding areas.
  • - The Ministry of Defence assessed the bomb and deemed it an empty shell with no explosives.
  • - This is a seperate bomb to a previous one found in the Thames on Sunday near London City Airport.
