Four years ago News Shopper reported about a cute dog from Mottingham who was becoming a social media sensation.

Rocky's many tricks included spinning on his legs, heading a balloon and giving high fives.

His owner Seniha Slowinski, 39, who lives off Mottingham Road, has now published a children's book - Rocky Rocks and the Colourful Socks - where the famous Bichon Fris and King Charles Cavalier mix breed is the star.

News Shopper:

The interactive learning book encourages children to help Rocky find his socks.

Mrs Slowinski told News Shopper: "I have had a great response. There have been people I have not heard from in 20 years from school getting in touch. It has been fantastic and everybody wants a signed copy.

"I am planning on going to school so children can meet the real Rocky."

The new author has written seven books in the Rocky series with the first one now being released on Amazon.

She added: "When I first got Rocky I was teaching him things and uploading it to Facebook. We received so many comments and I knew then that I wanted to write a book about him one day but I didn't know what."

The book is now being reviewed by a new blogger everyday as part of a tour.

Its first reviewer said: "Rocky Rocks and the Colourful Socks is a lovely little book that I read with my three-year-old goddaughter and she absolutely loved it. Full of beautiful and fun illustrations the story follows Rocky, a mischievous pup as he play hide and seek with colourful socks."

They added: "The book is beautifully written. A quick read that will demand to be read again and again so if you are buying this book for your children expect this to turn into a favourite bedtime read."

You can find the book on Amazon here.
