Donald Trump may think south London is an 'off' location but the New York Times rates it very highly.

The Horniman Museum and Gallery in Forest Hill has been recognised by the New York Times as one of the 10 coolest museums and it’s about time.

The museum was opened in 1901 and houses a mix of anthropology, natural history, musical instruments and a very badly stuffed walrus (Yes, Walrus).

The New York Times pitted it against museums such as MoMA in New York, which is a huge accolade for the n area.

Did you know...the museum was opened by Frederick John Horniman. Frederick had inherited his father’s Horniman’s Tea business, which by 1891 was the world's biggest tea trading business?

The New York Times said:"Do you like mummies? Aquariums? ...The Horniman Museum has all that and a lot more, with 250,000 natural history species, a conservatory, 16 acres of gardens to wander through and 3,700 objects that you can touch and handle. HIGHLIGHTS - Starting Feb...a new exhibition explores how humans perceive colour, how colour effects animals and why we like to eat foods of a certain colour."

This is how people reacted to the news.
