Three teenagers have been arrested after a gun was allegedly pointed at the head of a police officer in Lewisham.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said a firearm was pointed at an officer who stopped a youth in Longbridge Way at about 8.15pm on January 17.
Police said a 17-year-old pointed a gun at the head of one of two officers on routine patrol before running away.
The suspect was later found near Lewisham Park, police said, having attempted to alter his appearance by changing his clothing.
The teenager was arrested along with another 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old girl on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
All three remain in custody. Police said the weapon has been recovered and will be examined by specialist officers.
