Despite a number of warnings getting our hopes up, January 2018 has been a let down when it comes to snow.
OK so some of us saw a few flakes and admittedly there’s a few days to go but it’s nothing on five years ago.
For the sheer hell of it, we’ve dug out some pics of the snow from January 2013 which you may or may not remember.
The Met Office tells us the disruption it caused across the UK was significant, particularly to transport. Thousands of schools closed across the country and it was the biggest period of prolonged snowfall in the UK since November and December 2010.
Schools were shut across south-east London and north Kent as people took to the snow to build snowmen, igloos, go sledding and even, on Blackheath, try a spot of kite surfing on snow.
