Some windy weather this morning has seen some drivers panic about how they are going to get to work.
The source of their concern?
Will the Dartford Crossing remain open.
@HighwaysSEAST is the dartford crossing likely to stay open with the gusts forecast this morning?

And for now, the answer is a resounding yes.
Highways England took to Twitter to squash any concerns people may have had.
Good morning Simon the Dartford Crossing is currently open, we don't have any current plans to close it due to the wind. We will be monitoring the weather throughout the morning.

Replying to one person at around 7am, Highways England said "the Dartford Crossing is currently open.
"We don't have any current plans to close it due to the wind.
"We will be monitoring the weather throughout the morning."
So for now, the crossing is good to go.
