A man has appeared in court after a man is reported to have walked into a sleeping child's bedroom during a house burglary.

Police responded to reports of a man being spotted in a house in Marston Court, Greenhithe, at around 6.15am on Tuesday, January 2, after he allegedly walked into the bedroom of a young girl who woke up and started to scream. Police believe the suspect was startled and ran from the house.

The child's father then woke up and found the front door was open and a number of items were missing from the house.

Twenty-year-old Brad Neville, of Wodehouse Road in Dartford, appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday (Thursday, January 18) where he was remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on February 15.
