It wasn't your average weapons sweep for police in Erith today (January 18).
A joint effort by four local policing teams saw them take to the streets of Erith, but what they found was a little out of the ordinary.
A sweep in Compton Place ended in the policing teams stumbling across a metre-long sword (pictured above) hidden in a bush.
That wasn't all they found however.
Other items found during the same sweep were "drugs paraphernalia and some stolen property."
