Chinese New Year is coming up in a month's time and we are getting ready to start celebrating again but we need your help.
The festival falls on February 16 and this is the year of the dog according to the Chinese calendar.
Whereas we celebrate New Year on the same day no matter what, corresponding with the earth’s cycle around the sun, the Chinese calendar is based around the moon and so it changes year on year.
The celebrations usually last up to two weeks with lots of different ceremonies and street parties.
The Chinese zodiac moves in a 12-year cycle so those born in 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, and 2018 are also known as Dogs.
We are looking for your favourite Chinese restaurants and takeaways in the south east London area. Tell us where you go when you need a special treat. Any and all suggestions are welcome!
