A renewed witness appeal has been launched after a south east London sex attacker struck three times in an hour in assaults being linked to 20 other cases.

Police said three females were assaulted on Kidbrooke Park Road and Liskeard Gardens on Thursday, October 5, by an attacker that has been linked to more than 20 incidents.

The victims, a schoolgirl and two young women, were all attacked between 9.20am and 9.55am.

Police said the attacker is a white man aged between 35 and 40, medium build between five feet eight inches and six feet tall.

At the time of the attack he was wearing a dark cap, dark puffer jacket, black backpack and blue jeans.

In all other cases, the attacker has approached the victim and sexually touched them, before running off on foot.

Police in Greenwich and Lewisham are investigating a string of sexual offences against at least 25 victims, including 17 children - one girl aged just 11.

Speaking to News Shopper in November, Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Furphy of Lewisham police, leading the investigation, said: "We believe the first attack was in October 2016 by I am keeping an open mind on whether there may have been earlier ones.

"It is very hard for me to comment, but again we are keeping an open mind that if he is not caught his behaviour might escalate. We are not ruling that out."

Police are appealing again for anyone who has information that could assist this investigation to call Greenwich CID via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or contact via Twitter @MetCC.
