A STRONGMAN has pulled a bus along a school field as part of an anti-bullying campaign.

Dave Gauder, otherwise known as Big Dave, visited Eltham Hill Technology College, Eltham Hill, Eltham, and pulled a 7.5-tonne single decker bus 5m along the playing field.

This was part of an anti-bullying roadshow he runs which is supported by 30 police authorities.

More than 800 pupils, aged 11 to 15, watched the bus pull, which aimed to raise awareness of bullying.

After the bus pull, Mr Gauder said: "The most important advice I can give is to talk, talk, talk and don't suffer in silence."

College principal Marjorie Findlay-Stone said: "Big Dave gained the confidence of the students who were empowered to address their issues. It was a great activity."

Mr Gauder, who was bullied at school, has had 17 feats of strength ratified by Guinness World Records.

His most famous feat was pulling a Concorde 40ft along a Heathrow Airport runway.
