It is good news for railway commuters who travel through Grove Park as National Rail say that emergency engineering work is now complete.

Southeastern announced yesterday evening (January 4) that overnight emergency works would affect routes between Orpington and London Cannon Street / London Charing Cross.

National Rail said today: "Emergency engineering works at Grove Park means trains from between Hither Green towards Chislehurst are now able to run normally following emergency engineering work taking place at Grove Park."

Lines were blocked from 11pm yesterday to allow for the work.

Shaun King, acting chief operating officer in the South East, said: "I am very sorry for the disruption this is going to cause and woruld urge passengers to check before they travel this evening."

Southeastern said today that if you were delayed by 30 minutes or more yesterday you can claim a refund here.
