MIKE Mangold has won the Red Bull Air Race in London today.
He beat the time of Paul Bonhomme in the final race to be crowned champion of this leg of the series.
The American pilot, who is currently in second position in the Air Race World Series standings, was the 2005 champion.
Mr Mangold got the fastest time of the race, completing the course in 1.24.79 seconds.
His time in the final was 1.25.82, while Mr Bonhomme achieved 1.27.25.
This has closed the gap in the leader board of the series between Mr Mangold and Mr Bonhomme, current leader.
Third place went to Peter Besenyei.
