A Bromley police constable has been sacked after the Met Police said he had inappropriate communication with a young girl over Facebook.
PC Samuel Barton faced allegations that he breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect to discreditable conduct and was struck off following a special case hearing on December 15.
The chairman concluded that he communicated with a girl who he knew was under the age of 16 through Facebook Messenger on May 14, 2016.
PC Barton is prevented from working with the police in future after being placed on a barred list.
