A striking photo of a plane appearing to be flying to the moon is the latest prize winner from News Shopper’s Camera Club.
The image was taken by Andy Clay in Sidcup and was chosen as the pick of the bunch from the many images shared to our group on Facebook last month.
There were dozens of amazing photos to choose from but Andy’s just edged it to be picked as our favourite and win the £50 monthly prize.
Andy said he had seen the photo he wanted in his mind some time ago and it had taken extreme patience waiting for a clear sky, the right sized moon and a plane to travel on the desired flight path.
He added: “I daresay I could have cheated by using Photoshop or similar to contrive the image I desired but it would totally defeat the object in my eyes.
“The most rewarding aspect of photography is ‘seeing’ an image and using photography skills and patience to achieve the end result.”
