EastEnders star Jessie Wallace is said to have been caught up in a Bromley bar fight where “two drunks started throwing glasses at her”.

Police were called at 8.20pm to The Partridge pub in Bromley High Street to reports of a fight.

Lesley Ashmall was at the pub where performers of the Churchill Theatre pantotime were enjoying a quiet night of drinks together before the commotion started.

Describing scenes that would not be out of place in the fictional show's Queen Vic, Lesley said: “There was a nice atmosphere until these two drunks were asking Jessie for a photograph.

“They were hassling her for a photo and she said no because they were too drunk.”

It was at this stage Lesley said the two men started throwing glasses around the pub.

She said: “They must have broken six glasses, then they smashed the actor who was playing Nurse Nancy. After that they ran out of the pub.”

Lesley said Jessie was furious at what happened and now Nurse Nancy actor Jason Sutton will be sporting a nasty cut on his face.

Lesley said: “Everyone was fine apart from [Jason] who needed stitches, the police and the ambulance came.

“I’m surprised nobody was worse off, they started chucking glasses at her. She was furious with what happened.”

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue according to Met Police.
