POLICE seized three off-road motorcycles last weekend in a crackdown on nuisance riders.
Officers visited a number of sites in Dartford and Gravesend in a bid to stop illegal use of the bikes.
They seized three motorcyles from Rochester Way, Dartford, Wood Lane, Darenth and Lower High Road in Shorne.
Officers also gave 11 riders warnings, offered advice to 19 others and one motorcycle was voluntarily surrendered.
Two people were caught riding without a licence or insurance on a public road.
PC Geordie Laidlow, who led the two-day sting, said: "This was very successful and in addition to enforcing the law, gave us the chance to educate and offer advice to those who choose to take matters into their own hands.
"It may seem like fun to those on these bikes, but their actions impact on the quality of life of people living in the areas where they ride.
"As well as the legal issues, there are also the safety issues to take into consideration and riding without the proper safety equipment and facilities could lead to serious injury or even death."
