Last weekend millions of people honoured soldiers who died protecting Great Britain.
For most it was a chance to reflect on the sacrifice made by brave members of the armed forces.
But not everybody showed the dead the respect they deserve.
Just as the week began after Remembrance Day, on Monday November 13, burglars broke into a house in Tubbenden Lane, Orpington.
The burglary took place sometime between 12.30pm and 10pm.
The thieves took a set of First World War medals that belonged to the victim’s grandfather.
Unfortunately, the police could not provide a description of the medals.
Jewellery and cash were also stolen from the property.
Police are investigating the burglary.
Anybody who can help the police with their search should call 101.
