A man has died after he collapsed at General Gordon Square in Woolwich town centre yesterday.
Police officers administered CPR to the man before he later died in hospital.
Greenwich borough commander, Simon Dobinson, told News Shopper: "Police officers who attended used the defibrillator which has been a recent addition to police vehicles for these very situations.
"Unfortunately despite their best efforts the man died. I would like to thank my officers for their significant efforts and our thoughts remain with the family."
He added that the incident happened at 4.45pm.
