A new nursery officially opened just a few minutes’ walk from Charlton Park on November 4.

With an official opening ceremony complete with ribbon cutting, the newly built nursery is part of the Busy Bees experienced nursery family.

Local councillor Sizwe James held the official opening while staff answered questions from parents on what their children would be doing at the nursery.

Councillor James, said: “I feel privileged to have been invited to come along and see the new nursery in Charlton and find out all about things they’re hoping to achieve for children and families across the area.

“I immediately felt welcomed by Kate and the team and the nursery itself looks wonderful, so I’m looking forward to following their progress.”

Kate Cropley, who has been a part of the Busy Bees family for fifteen years, said: “The open event has been such a success. We’ve been looking forward to the official opening for weeks so we were delighted to welcome so many new families and members of the community that we’ve met along the way, to see how the nursery has taken shape.

“We’re so pleased that councillor James could come along too as he had a chance to see how the state-of-the-art nursery, will help to support families in the local area.”
