Students at the Phil Edwards Centre in Croydon have been trying to stop young people from entering a life of crime by joining gangs.
Now the centre has been recognised for its hard work through at the Team London Awards.
It took out the Supporting and Inspiring School Award after students, concerned about the gang culture in Croydon, wanted to educate their peers on the dangers and consequences of joining a gang.
They held an event at their school, with inspirational speeches, a Q&A session and a role play workshop. The students contacted local primary school Year 5 and Year 6 students and invited them to their themed assembly.
